Linking

It is advised that all players in your discord link their in-game name to their discord account. This will allow KA0SBOT to recognise the player in the game and is needed for several features such as Elite Kits and purchasing from the Shop.

To link, the player needs to use /link in the discord and type their in-game username:

MAKE SURE THEY HAVE DONE THIS CORRECTLY. Many issues usually come down to the player not typing their name correctly or having a name that isn’t allowed on Rust.

Other useful commands for linking include:

  • /unlink – unlinks a player.
  • /allowlink – allows a player to link again (useful if they linked incorrectly the first time).
  • /adminlink – allows admins and higher to link a player (useful if players can’t access discord).

The above commands require the kaosadmin or kaosmod role in discord.
